Every Elite Competitions competition can be entered free of charge by post. A free postal entry has exactly the same chance of winning as a paid online entry. No purchase is necessary.
✉️ How to enter for free
Put the following on a piece of paper, in an envelope:
- Your full name
- Your full postal address, including postcode
- Your date of birth (you must be 18 or over)
- Your phone number
- Your email address (use the same one as your account if you have one)
- The name of the competition you are entering

The rules
- One entry per envelope. Each envelope counts as one entry into one competition. If you want more than one free entry, send more than one envelope. Envelopes containing more than one entry are counted as one entry.
- Same per-person limit. Free postal entries count towards the same maximum entries per person shown on each competition page, together with any paid entries.
- Same chance. Each valid postal entry is given an entry number allocated at random and is entered into the same random draw as paid entries.
- Received before close. Entries must be received before the competition closes, either at its stated closing time or earlier if it sells out. Entries received before closing are included even if the competition sells out to paid entries. We cannot accept entries that arrive after closing; proof of posting is not proof of receipt.
- No other cost. The only cost is ordinary first or second class postage. We will never ask you for any other payment for a free entry.
- Eligibility. Free entrants must be UK residents aged 18 or over and are subject to our Terms & Conditions in the same way as paid entrants.
- Not accepted: illegible or incomplete entries, bulk or mechanically produced entries, entries sent by third parties on someone else's behalf, and entries delivered by hand or courier unless we have agreed this in advance.
What happens next
We enter every valid postal entry before the draw takes place. Each one is logged with the date received. If you gave us your email address, we will email you your entry number. If your entry number matches an instant win or the winning entry, we will contact you exactly as we would a paid entrant.
